UPPER EAST SIDE
NEW YORK CITY
An invitation to Change and the Discovery of Choice.
The decision to investigate the path of psychotherapy may be prompted by unexpected life challenges, or a sense of being stuck, stagnating in career or relationships, a feeling of being disconnected from any spark of creativity, fulfillment, connection to life and others, or a simple desire to have a better understanding of one's capacity in the world.
Whether obstacles or curiosity have prompted our investigation, we have already entered the sphere of change. From this new plateau we are offered an opportunity to cultivate the courage to explore choices opening before us. It is in balancing the discovery of self-sabotaging patterns while compassionately cultivating an awareness of our broader capacities that a positive transformation of the self may occur.
Thank you for visiting my website. I am a licensed Psychotherapist located on the Upper East Side in New York City. My training as a clinical social worker was accomplished at New York University Graduate School of Social Work. My training and post graduate experience included working as a staff psychotherapist for eight years at Washington Square Institute for Mental Health and Psychotherapy. I have been in private practice for over ten years. I am a member of NASW and the Academy of Certified Social Workers and am a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.
Over the course of more than three decades, I previously worked as Director of talent and lead agent to some of the most exclusive high fashion models and actors in the world. The time in the industry afforded me the opportunity to cultivate undiscovered talent, nurture their abilities, grow their confidence and cultivate a lucrative clientele that financially transformed lives.
This unique experience gifted me with an understanding of the difference between a healthy sense of one's appearance and the devastating consequences to those lost in distorted self-perceptions. I learned of the power in lending others compassionate understanding, which may help unleash the exciting potential laying just beneath the surface of each of us.
